The Archdiocese of La Serena digitizes its parishes with Ecclesiared

The Archdiocese of La Serena has taken an important step toward modernization and adaptation to current times with the implementation of the Ecclesiared software across its parishes. This initiative represents a significant advancement in pastoral and administrative management, enabling the optimization of processes and improving service to the faithful in a context where technology has become an essential tool in everyday life.

With this decision, the Archdiocese joins a trend already followed by the vast majority of dioceses in the country, which in recent years have embraced digitalization as a means to strengthen their internal organization and facilitate their evangelizing mission. Dioceses such as Villarrica, Santa María de los Ángeles, San Bernardo, Puerto Montt, Linares, Punta Arenas, and Calama, among many others, have already implemented this system, achieving positive results in parish and diocesan management.

Ecclesiared software, considered one of the leading parish and diocesan management programs worldwide, offers numerous advantages for ecclesial communities. Among its main benefits is the centralization of sacramental information, the efficient organization of parish archives, the management of catechesis and pastoral activities, as well as the ability to keep records of parishioners and pastoral services up to date. In addition, it facilitates internal communication between parishes and the diocesan curia, enabling a more agile, secure, and orderly flow of information.

The implementation of this technological tool represents not only an administrative improvement but also an opportunity to strengthen the pastoral mission by freeing up time and resources that can be dedicated to direct community care and the promotion of new evangelizing initiatives.

In the coming weeks, specialized Ecclesiared technicians will conduct a series of training sessions within the Archdiocese led by Archbishop René Rebolledo, with the aim of training not only parish clergy but also laypeople and pastoral collaborators who actively participate in parish life. These sessions will provide firsthand knowledge of all the platform’s features and benefits, ensuring proper implementation and efficient use of the tool from its earliest stages.

With this decisive step toward digitalization, the Archdiocese of La Serena reaffirms its commitment to innovation and continuous improvement, integrating technology at the service of its pastoral mission and responding to the needs of a Church that moves in step with the demands of modern times.
